Jennifer Johnson, PsyD
Jennifer Johnson, Psy.D., licensed clinical psychologist, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from East Tennessee State University, and earned her Master’s of Arts degree as well as her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Atlanta. She has provided therapy for children and adolescents in several different settings including out-patient, group home, school, psychiatric, and residential facilities. She offers therapy for children, adolescents, and adults ages 3 and up. Dr. Johnson’s theoretical approach is primary in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Center Therapy, and she has been trained in many different theoretical approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Family and Couple Therapy, and Group Therapy. In addition to individual and play therapy, Dr. Johnson also offers family therapy as well as parent supportive therapy. Dr. Johnson also provides psychological evaluations for therapy, diagnostic clarification, as well as for the school. She also has specialized training to assess and diagnose those on the Autism Spectrum. Dr. Jennifer Johnson is a member of both the American Psychological Association as well as the Georgia Psychological Association.

Lindsey Populorum, LPC
Lindsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. Lindsey completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Brenau University and has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Lindsey is also currently pursuing her Education Specialist degree in Community Care and Counseling: Traumatology.
Lindsey is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and also utilizes therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative therapy, Play therapy, and Person-Centered therapy. Lindsey offers an eclectic approach and strongly believes in fostering a safe environment through her work.
Lindsey has experience counseling adolescents, children, and adults with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, intrapersonal difficulties, trauma, peer concerns, family conflicts, and other mental health struggles. Lindsey is currently offering therapy for children (5 years and up), adolescents, and adults.

Alan Brue, PhD
Dr. Brue is a Licensed Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who completes psychological assessments on children, adolescents, and adults in K-12 schools and our clinic. Over the past 25 years, he has conducted more than 2,800 psychoeducational and psychological evaluations. Dr. Brue is a published author whose books focus on special education issues, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral problems in children and adolescents. In addition, he has more than 20 years of experience teaching part-time at universities. He holds the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) credential to practice telepsychology in 40+ states.
Dr. Brue is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.

“I am a children, family and adolescent therapist licensed in Georgia and Michigan. I have worked with clients ranging from depression, anxiety, motivation and organizational challenges, family and relationship issues. I have worked with parenting issues, career challenges and motivation. I have also worked with clients having spiritual problems.
My style of therapy is like a directed conversation that probes for insights and deeper understanding.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, rational-emotive and solution-focused therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Sharon Rinks, PhD
“My journey as a clinical psychologist is rooted in working with infants through adolescents and their families. I have broadened my scope in recent years to include working with adults. Past work experiences have been in hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, group homes, and residential treatment facilities. I have specialized in the areas of autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, sexual trauma, and other clinical mental health issues. Currently, my practice includes teens and adults with a variety of concerns, including trauma, depression, and anxiety”.

Jonathan Hill, PhD
Dr. Hill joined Psychology & Counseling Centers in April 2015. He is a clinical and forensic psychologist who received his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in 2013. He has extensive training and experience in psychological evaluations involving forensic psychology as well as neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic assessments. As a forensic psychologist, Dr. Hill has conducted evaluations in criminal law settings including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, psychosexual, and violence risk assessment. He also has experience completing evaluations in family law and employment domains. In addition to forensic and psychological evaluations, Dr. Hill was trained in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
Dr. Hill is active in teaching as he has been a part-time faculty member at Kennesaw State University since 2014. He has received several awards and recognitions in this capacity. He was the recipient of the Part-time Faculty Teaching Award for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2021. In 2015, he received the "Star Professor Award" from the Academy of Inclusive Learning and Social Growth. He was nominated for the Distinguished Part-Time Teaching Award in 2018, 2019, and 2022.

Robert Norton, PhD, & Marshall
A native of Northwest Georgia, Dr. Norton has been a licensed psychologist first in California, and then in Georgia since 1997. He was educated at the Centre College of Kentucky, the University of Kentucky, and the California School of Professional Psychology. In practice since 1980, he works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Among other approaches, he emphasizes his understanding of Positive Psychology and attachment in resolving psychological concerns.
Marshall, his dog, is a very good boy.

Kim Roberts, LPC
Kim Roberts' clients come to her with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction and loss. She has experience helping teens, adults and families understand issues of anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting and addiction. A positive environment that promotes insight and healing is the foundation of her counseling. The nature of therapy requires a strong alliance which she values and creates. Kim also leads Domestic Violence groups and offers Alcohol and Substance abuse evaluations. Kim has an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. She completed her Masters and Ed.S degrees in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University. Kim has been practicing for 14 years.

Her approach is informed by diverse modalities, including CBT, Strengths-based, Family Systems Theory, and Mindfulness practices, reflecting her dedication as a lifelong learner. Christina has developed a particular sensitivity to clients struggling with modern life's demands, creating a safe space to explore challenges and discover inner resources.

Madison Hill, Intern in Training
Madison believes that therapy sessions are designed to build trust and open communication under a nonjudgmental presence. She feels that mental health services are a basic human right and believes it should be afforded to everyone. She wishes to fulfill her purpose to help people through her therapy services.
She has provided therapy for survivors of domestic violence and working with individuals involved in the courts. Through her involvement with court therapy services she has a variety of experience with different clientele to include anger management and family violence.
She uses a variety of approaches including CBT, Person-Centered, and Reality Based Therapy. She works to aid in growth and healing for every individual through empathetic and supportive approaches. She has a passion for therapy on women’s issues.
Madison completed her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of West Georgia in 2022 and currently attends Jacksonville State University.
